Meet the Durenes ::
Missionaries to Thailand

The Durenes have just completed their third term in Thailand, and from July 2007 - July 2008 will re-locate to the US for furlough. They spent the last term in Chiangmai northern Thailand doing church planting and leadership training with an emphasis on university ministry. They were instrumental in starting a BA level Global University branch in Chiangmai, helped launch several Thai young people into full-time ministry, worked with many missions teams, help develop the Thai Book of Hope, translated children's ministry curriculum, filled in as pastors of a Thai AG church, served as Thailand Field Country Moderator and served on several boards and committees including the national AG Church Planting Committee.

Next term the Durenes plan to expand the Global University program into a full time church planters school. Please pray for the planning and implementation of this program, and pray for those young people with a call to full time ministry who will become their first students. Please pray also for their itineration, for financial and prayer provision for the coming term. Finally, please continue to pray for a great move of the Lord in this nation where 99% do not know Christ's salvation.

The Durenes will return to Thailand as "empty-nesters." Krista is married to Aaron Smith and lives and works in Minnesota. Jeris and Jocelyn are attending Evangel University in Springfield, MO. Jeris is a Math & Physics major and Jocelyn is majoring in Art.

Thank you for praying for these MK's as well.
